This year's Easter was the earliest it will be in our lifetimes (thanks to Matt's parents for that information), which meant Matt's spring break from school was extremely early. But we wanted to go somewhere unique for our last vacation before the baby comes, and chose Bermuda for its civilized culture and plethora of nature-related activities that even a pregnant woman could enjoy. The average temperature in March is 70 degrees, which would have been wonderful.
Unfortunately, the week we visited turned out to be the coldest of the year, dipping into the 50s with very heavy winds a couple of days. But we still had a lot of fun exploring caves, aquariums, and downtown Hamilton, not to mention the hotel spa! We loved our hotel, the Fairmont Southampton (and it turns out it's the favorite of Matt's aunt and uncle too). We saw nearly the entire island in the 5 days we were there, traveling everywhere by convenient pink buses.
So here are some photo highlights from the trip.
