Fast Forward Through Fall

Fall is going by so fast! Two and a half months have flown by since we last updated the blog, while we've been very busy with work, the election, and watching Felicity grow up so fast.

Last time we updated the blog, Felicity still hated "tummy time" and cried every time we put her on her tummy. Then shortly after turning 3 months, she started rolling over by herself and we haven't been able to keep her off her tummy ever since. Now she is right on the verge of crawling and getting into a sitting position on her own!

Felicity's physical agility is aided by her long, lean little limbs. At her 4 month doctor visit, she measured in at 90th percentile for height but only 25th for weight. It's actually quite challenging finding baby clothes to fit her proportions. Where is the tall girls section for infants?

In other news, "Grana" Hamilton moved in with us in early October. We're all enjoying having a live-in babysitter, but we hope to have good news soon about a place of Grana's own.

McCain-Palin Rally in Fairfax City

More than 20,000 people here, and I'm the cutest of them all!

Felicity is pouting because she heard ACORN was registering babies to vote but they passed her by. Wonder why?!?

Mommy's back at work

On a work-from-home day, helping out Mommy with a PowerPoint presentation on NFL television policies.

Snapped this picture with Mommy's blackberry to show a colleague how cute Felicity was being one morning. One of our favorite photos!

Denny and Judy's Wedding

The Vogl clan turns out in full force for the wedding of Denny and Judy Sleighter on October 4 in Pennsylvania. Felicity's first wedding and first long car trip.

Snug as a bug

Felicity gets comfy after her first walk outside on a cold fall morning.

Halloween

Felicity dressed as a Virginia Tech cheerleader for her first Halloween, true to form as a Hokie Daddy's girl. (But let it be noted for the record that she uttered her first phrase a couple of days later to make any UVA Mom proud: "Wahoo Wa!")

Our little pumpkin can sit on her own now!

Doing the tummy time cheer!

Lillian's Birthday

Celebrating with my mom (taking photo), Matt's parents and my Grandmother, "Nana" Phyllis

Always on the tummy

Having lots of fun in the play pen!

You wouldn't think tushy-in-the-air is a comfortable sleep position, but that's how Felicity frequently chooses to sleep these days!
