Felicity had a 2nd birthday we will never forget! It started much like her 1st birthday, with friends and family partying on our deck on a lovely June Saturday evening...

Then Felicity pulled a very heavy, large object down on herself. When even ice cream couldn't calm her screams, the party abruptly ended with a trip to the emergency room. A couple of hours later, Felicity was diagnosed with a small fracture on her leg. Her birthday wrapped up with a splint, orange popsicle, and watching the Incredibles on the bedside TV.
The next day, many of our friends and family came back to comfort the couch-bound. Felicity could almost forget her present disability with all the cake and presents.

Felicity got a cast a few days later. The silver lining was that her vocabulary suddenly exploded as she had to actually ask for things instead of just helping herself.
And very soon, she learned to walk on the cast and proved you just can't keep this girl down.
