Week 2 - Felicity's First Mass, Father's Day, and Tea Party

Felicity's second week of life outside the womb was filled with lots of fun firsts. On June 15 she went to Mass for the first time, and then we celebrated Felicity and Matt's first Father's Day at her grandparents' house. Felicity was so good at her first Mass! She was awake almost the entire time and didn't make a peep. She seemed to enjoy hearing all that familiar music finally undistorted by ambient womb sounds. Then she slept through the always-rowdy Vogl family get-together.

A few days later, Grandma Vogl and her friends Janet and Denise came to our house to throw Felicity her first tea party, joined by Lillian and Grana Hamilton. But since Felicity couldn't partake in the tea herself, she slept through most of the tea party too. That's okay--the rest of us enjoyed cooing over her and eating Faith's Amish Friendship bread with our tea.

First Mass

As soon as Mass ended, Felicity fell asleep and our friend Carolyn rushed down from the choir loft to meet her.
